The first stop on our trip was Kalyra Winery. It had a very casual and earthy vibe, and the sommelier was friendly and approachable. One of us had never gone wine tasting and didn't know what to expect, but between the fun beachy decor and the Empire of the Sun that was playing in the background, it couldn't have been a better experience for first-time wine tasting.
Our next stop was Gainey, a beautiful and more traditional winery. The tasting room was very dark and spacious, and huge barrels of wine line the walls. Sprinkled throughout the room were individual stations were we proceeded to learn more about wine (i.e. get our drank on).
Just outside the doors of the rustic tasting rooms and gift shop was a beautiful picnic area where we took in the beautiful view.
Our final stop was at Saarloos & Sons, where wines are paired with decadent mini Enjoy Cupcakes. The aesthetic was very country meets Kelly Wearstler, and we loved it! If you are going to Santa Ynez, it it a must on your intinerary.
Santa Ynez is the perfect place to unwind. Where do you want to go for your next weekend getaway?

Fun!! I live less than an hour away from Enjoy! Glad you got a taste...sounds like a fun weekend. :)

These are amazing places. In road trips, you get to learn new things, have fun, enjoy different foods and drinks and even party on the road. Wish I have time to visit those place too. new york limo
ReplyDeleteI remembered a time that we just left our car in a parking at Perth airport and flew around Australia to taste different wines too. They have the best wines in the world and the sudden trip was just worth it.
